About Me.

I grew up on a farm in rural South Dakota. My passion for woodworking stems from a high school summer job working as a hired hand at a local cabinet company. When naming my company I wanted to trace these roots back to where it all started; Oak Hollow is the name of the township where I grew up.

I love learning new techniques and making unique pieces for clients. My favorite builds are dining room tables and chairs as my family ate meals and made memories together sitting around the table. I find it extremely rewarding to build a piece of furniture that will do the same for others.

Hunting, fishing, cycling, hiking, camping, back-packing, cross country skiing - you name it, I love the outdoors. Since my wife and I moved to the West side of the state, we continue to fix up our first home, explore all that the Black Hills have to offer and keep plenty busy with our four-year-old son, Griffin, red Labrador, Ava, and (any day now) newborn.

Thanks again for checking out my page. I hope you notice a common theme throughout my work: unique, sturdy, and built to stand the test of time. I use solid wood joinery and hand select every piece of lumber. I have been fortunate to turn my passion into my full-time profession and I don’t take it lightly that I’m able to do so.

Life’s good, folks.
